Hi friends! I'm excited to share lots of updates with you today. We have new pieces on the horizon, exciting relaunches, and highlights from recent shows. With Easter just around the corner, there's an extra layer of anticipation and joy in the air. Thanks for taking the time to drop in and check out the goings on here on Holly Lane. I’m so glad you are here! 

The tomb was empty! It is the pivotal moment we celebrate at Easter, it changed everything. The disciples weren’t following a mere man, they were following the Son of God, our Redeemer, our Savior! And after an excruciating end, death ultimately could not hold him. That was never the plan. As Christians, we celebrate this victory every year at Easter with awe and great joy. We are reminded that because of Him, we can also defeat death and spend eternity with our Heavenly Father.

One of the fun things we love to do at Holly Lane is create and share unique Christian artwork with our community. This month, we designed a digital download that was inspired by the Empty Tomb. Christ was not in the tomb, he had risen and that changed everything! This piece reminds us of the victory we have over death through Christ's resurrection. Designed by our very own, Ali Feuring, this artwork beautifully depicts the essence of that glorious moment. Just In: Introducing Our Newest Release

 I'm thrilled to announce the launch of our newly designed Lotus pendant, just in time for Easter! Based on Philippians 4:8, this pendant embodies the essence of reflection on uplifting truths.

After receiving some feedback, I decided to create a more petite version of this pendant. When designing a piece, I aim to capture the essence of the verse it represents. Philippians 4:8 states:

“...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things.”

For this verse, I envisioned a symbol of meditation, serving as a daily reminder to reflect on the virtues outlined in the verse.

Philippians 4:8 encourages us to focus on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. I hope you will be reminded of this beautiful verse when you wear it and find inspiration to capture your thoughts and reflect on the good things God has placed in our lives.

Favorites This Month: Spotlight on Timeless Treasures

The response to the relaunch of the Empty Tomb pendant has been incredible! It's heartwarming to see how many of you appreciate this meaningful piece. 

Designed to resemble the stone at the entrance to Christ’s burial tomb, with the back side depicting an empty tomb and the word “risen” on a banner across the opening. The front features a laid-down cross, symbolizing Christ's sacrifice and victory over death.

I'm delighted to share that the pendant was a hit at our Richmond show, nearly selling out. For those who missed out, don't worry - they'll be back on our website within a few weeks. You can also sign up to be notified of restocks on the product page for any Holly Lane piece that is currently sold out, ensuring you'll be the first to know when it's available again.

Customers often ask us what the best chain to pair with specific pendants is. When it comes to the Empty Tomb pendant, we recommend the Slate chain or the Rolo chain. However, you can't go wrong with any of the sterling silver chain styles available on our website. 

Additionally, several specialty chains, such as the Assurance Chain, complement the pendant beautifully. One of the highlights of our collection is the ability to mix and match various styles effortlessly, resulting in stunning combinations.

Show Recap : Life on the Road

At the beginning of the month, I had the honor of participating in the Craftsmen’s Classic in Richmond, Virginia! This Richmond show marked my 116th exhibition with the Gilmores, the dedicated organizers of this remarkable series of juried shows. Over the years, I've forged some incredible friendships with fellow exhibitors. (Fun fact: it's how I met Amy Cox from Albatross Pottery!) Whether we’re in Maryland one weekend or Georgia a month later, it always feels like no time has passed.

During the event, I had the pleasure of catching up with some of my show friends- Kim Hanzo of Lellow Lolly (bottom right), Tracey Ranghelli of All Beaded Up (top left), Ty and Jerry of Unique Wreaths (bottom middle), Susan Spivey of Mountain Mist (bottom left), Cara Morris of Runway 45 (top right), and many more talented artisans. I love these folks and I am continually inspired by their creativity and blown away by their talents!

Welcome Spring Sale - Next Week! 

Our Spring Sale is coming up quick and I hope you will take advantage of the savings we’ll have for you! It’s a great time to pick up graduation or teacher gifts before the school year wraps up. Be on the lookout for this special sale coming up in early April! 

Last year, I couldn't attend Springfest because my daughter was graduating from Lee University in Cleveland, TN, which meant I had to go through the jury process all over again this year. I still feel nervous every time I have to go through the jury process, but the good news is... I made it! I’m so excited to be returning to Springfest May 2nd -5th! It's always such a fun show with live music and a fantastic array of artisans. And of course, I can't wait to reunite with the beautiful faces of my wonderful repeat customers! Be sure to mark your calendars; it'll be here before you know it!

I’m super excited to launch our new Mother’s Day piece, inspired by Proverbs 31:25-26. These verses describe the attributes of a godly wife. 

As the mother of five kiddos I can honestly say motherhood is trying, but the joy and fulfillment of motherhood is profound. As the upright woman described in Proverbs 31, press on, stay strong, and do not fear the times to come. I look forward to releasing this piece in celebration of all the wonderful mothers who deserve this beautiful gift as thanks for all they do and an encouragement to persevere in love, kindness and hope.

Favorites This Month: Spotlight on Timeless Treasures

This month, we are featuring our beautiful, timeless He is Still Good and Tears pieces. When my husband George passed away, I already had these pieces on my bench and didn’t realize how much comfort, peace, and encouragement the verses that inspired them would bring to me. The Lord illuminated these parts of Scripture so I would be surrounded by them in my time of need. He saw me in my deepest sorrow and gave my weary soul rest and healing. These verses remind us that we can still praise and rejoice in the Lord, even amid our greatest hardships.  

I designed our He is Still Good piece to serve as a reminder of the Lord’s faithfulness in all things. Habakkuk 3:17-18 sparked my inspiration for this new collection. 

No matter what happens, the Lord will always be with us and protect us. This verse also reminds us that we are called to rejoice even in our sufferings, which is immensely difficult but possible if we delight in the Lord our God.

Our Tears collection is based on Psalm 56:8.

The Lord sees us in our sorrow and hears each and every one of our cries like a prayer. In Him we find peace and refuge. This teardrop shaped piece features a cross similar to the ones on our Always Present collection pieces to remind us that He indeed is always present even in times of great sorrow.

In the Community: Making a Difference Together

February 2024

One of our main focuses for 2024 is serving- our customers, community and one another. During our recent retreat, we decided to direct more focus on community outreach and ministry engagements. We are excited to take the next step in that direction by working with the following three ministries and organizations, with the hope to carry out the Great Commission and serve our community. I’m blessed to know several individuals involved in these ministries and am honored to have the opportunity to support them in their efforts.


Wings of Hope Ranch is a non-profit Christian ministry in Hanover, VA that pairs children with rescued horses to find hope and healing in companionship. Learn more about volunteering here.

 

The 516 Project is a non-profit Christian construction ministry located in Fredericksburg, VA and committed to working with churches, businesses, and individuals to share the love of Jesus with those in need and positively impact the community by glorifying God through service. Learn more about volunteering here.

Eight Days of Hope is a Christian disaster relief organization inspired by 1 Peter 4:10, which says, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (ESV). Volunteers gather to use their unique, God-given gifts to love and serve those impacted by natural disasters. Learn more about volunteering here.

Each of these organizations represents how everyone has at least one gift they can use to uniquely share the Gospel and serve the Lord. We would love for you to join us in serving the Lord, supporting the community, and fulfilling the Great Commission through engagement with ministries like these.
