Glory to God in the Highest

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” Luke 2:8-15

"This child of Christmas is more than Lord. He is even more than Savior. He is our great Treasure, and in “our eternal enjoyment of him” is his glory and the end for which God created the world. Christmas is not finally about his birth for our salvation, but our existence for his glory." -You Were Made For Christmas

Remember the Birds

Free mobile wallpaper paired with our Birds of the Air theme inspired by Matthew 6:26-27, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”

Look at the birds in the sky. They do not store food for winter. They don’t plant gardens. They do not sow or reap—and yet, they are always fed because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are even more precious to Him than a beautiful bird. If He looks after them, of course He will look after you. Worrying does not do any good; who here can claim to add even an hour to his life by worrying? Matthew 6:26-27 Free mobile wallpaper by hollylane.com

O Holy Night

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
As Christmas day quickly approaches, our hearts and minds easily become full of lists. We have gifts to buy, packages to ship, cleaning, decorating, cooking, traveling…the lists go on!

Pause. Let your weary soul rejoice that Christmas is not about how much you get done, but about how Christ came down to restore this weary world, and you.

“He knows our need, to our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before Him lowly bend!” - O Holy Night

We hope you enjoy this free mobile wallpaper!
O Holy Night, the stars are brightly shining,
it is the night of our dear Savior's birth,
long lay the world in sin and error pining,
'til He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Free mobile wallpaper by hollylane.com

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8

Give grace
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

Live grace
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
